...really? I've always felt it was much more the other way around (manga fans not liking the anime because it isn't clear).

Not from my experience. Then again, my FMA fan friends are all yaoi fans so... ^^;

I don't know, I guess it depends on what circles you hang out in. A few of my friends (the ones who prefer the manga over the anime) do so largely in part because of Ed/Win and Royai.

That seems silly, to like one more than the other for only the pairings. I like the manga more because I enjoy the story more. And I feel like all the characters are getting the limelight because the manga has the time to do that.

Plus RanFan is one of my favorites. XD

I agree. I think that while the anime is indeed very good the manga has had the chance to develop an even more fantastic story, and given us the chance to get to know the characters so much better.

I also love the manga only characters (RanFan is indeed awesome).

Still, I'm one of those who would have preferred an even more ambiguous approach when it comes to pairings - a canonical possibility for Ed/Ling would have made me exstatic, haha. XD
