Maya is hardly the only character with a potentially lethal ability that she has had trouble controlling in the past. There's also Peter, and I don't see anybody saying healthy relationships aren't possible because he could potentially kill his partner when he loses control...

The main difference between Sylar and Maya is that she doesn't want to kill people, he does. And he has had his shot at a healthy relationship with Mohinder. It didn't work out so well. Now it's Maya's turn to try. I o think her chances are better, because she doesn't take pleasure in killing or tormenting people... like... she isn't a psychopathic serial killer.

Don't assume I ship Mylar or want Mohinder with Sylar (Petlar till the end, right here. Besides, any ship becoming canon automatically puts me off it, why read fanfiction when you have the creator's version to hand?)

I'm simply questioning Maya/Mohinder being called 'healthy', I only brought Sylar into it because it was mentioned in the secret. Maya's looking for someone to save her from her abilities, will Mohinder live up to her expectations? What happens if the law catches up with her? Will Mohinder be able to forgive her multiple cases of manslaughter? Will she be able to forgive him for forgiving her? She's messed up, as she should be after an ability like that - hence my comment about 'in her own way' - if she wasn't messed up she would be a sociopath. Not to mention she really could kill him if she watches a tearjerker on the telly, is this really a heal[thy power balance in a relationship?

p.s. not saying people shouldn't ship it (Peter/Sylar is hardly fluffy bunnies, unless they're bloodstained and belong in a Monty Python sketch) just that maybe it's not a good example of 'healthy'.

I'm not assuming anything, I was just using a general example! I've no idea what you ship, or how. Well, now I do. But. Yeah. Moving on.

Mohinder/Maya has the potential to be healthy, that's all. That there are issues and problems just mean that it might be more interesting to watch them overcome them. And the law will not catch her. This is Heroes, hey. The law never catches anyone. XD

That seemed fairly directed, that was why I felt you were making assumptions.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on how healthy that relationship is going to be - at least until canon tells us.
