142. I kind of have both? I mean, I find joy in spending hours online with fandom, but I also love my rl friends dearly and have fun with them. Do I have to have one or the other? I mean, can't I have both? I don't know. I like both...is that so bad?

Not that I necessarily disagree that 98% of the people in the fandom are idiots, but for different reasons, not because they care too much about their characters of choice. If we weren't passionate about the characters, there would be no point to even watching the show.

(Anonymous) 2008-09-02 05:14 pm (UTC)(link)It's not really about being passionate about the characters. I mean, you can care for a character without bashing other people and having that kind of attuitude about it - that "you guys don't even care about mohinder!!1" It's just silly.
It is my personal opinion that neither ship is "respectful" (so to speak?), if we're talking seriously. They will never be canon, so otherwise it's just fantasy pairings that will never happen. Which is totally fine and dandy on the internets, but neither one is "respectful" to canon Mohinder and his character as defined in the tv show.
Even so, I'd wait till the series is over...
