I don't, really. I just find it to be extremely rude of people to assume horrible things about others because of a two-sentence long secret. It makes me feel like, well, no wonder these people keep these things secret - they let it out annonomously and everybody treats them like the next Hitler.

Anytime someone expresses or is even perceived to express a difference in opinion, it's akways the same. "UR NOT LIKE US! U MUST CHANGE NAO!" It's *stupid*. I wish people would just get over themselves already.

When the person says horrible things, then yes, people are going to assume horrible things about them. When people express bigoted opinions then others are going to think they're bigots because that's what they are. It's pretty simple.

The secret was wankbait. It was designed to get a reaction from the community. And it was racist.

It took rereading the secret a third time to see what everybody's making such a fuss about. Yes, I see a racist undertone there. Is it as bad as people are claiming? No. Hell, is it xenophobic, as so many people are claiming? No. Racist, yes, all these other things, no, not really. People are turning it into a bigger deal than it's supposed to be.

For the record, if it is a troll - which honestly, it might not be, given that this is an annonymous post and this person might actually feel this way, but be ashamed of it, which is why it's a secret - isn't making such a fuss exactly what they want?

Do you even know what xenophobia is?

Xenophobia is a fear or contempt of that which is foreign or unknown, especially of strangers or foreign people.

The secret implies that the OP was disappointed in the fact that they were arabs, not that it wasn't set in the real world. Get that through your head.
And for the record, other than YOUR pitiful excuse for a thread, across the 10 pages there isn't a single bit of wank about this.

Are we reading the same pages here? Because at least once a page there's somebody going, "165 - xenophobe/bastard/racist/ass/jerk/fill-in-the-insult-or-accusasion-here!" I'd call that wank. Though if my thread is the only one causing any, I'd say it's *your* fault. You started the arguement, and you're the only one that appears to be getting insulted about it. Nobody's forcing you to reply.

Yes, the secret implies that. But that's the point I'm trying to make here. It *implies* that. Implications don't mean squat. This is the internet, anything you say can be interpreted a hundred and fifty different ways. Unless they actually come out and *say* it, neither you nor I can claim that we know anything for certain about the person's mindset or what they were trying to accomplish.

It boils down to, I have my opinion on it, and you have yours, and it's very likely that neither one is right, so just get over it already.
