130. Well, he's not a real person, is he? Look. People who ship Mylar generally aren't in it to read the kind of relationship that your therapist would approve of, and mostly? We own that. And you're right--Matt/Mohinder is not a bed of cupcakes and roses. There would be loads of problems and difficulties and it would involve lots of pain and angst and it would not be pretty, and the reason I don't generally read that 'ship is that the people who write it universally choose to ignore that. But why, oh, why, do you think Maya is his best chance for a healthy relationship? Because she's totally untraumatised after having inadvertently murdered hundreds of people including her brother's wife, plus having her brother get murdered by the guy she was macking on? Because she's totally stable, just look at the way she went from being a nun to nearly shagging a total stranger who then killed her brother and is now moving on to the next figure to rescue her? Or is it just because she's a GURRRUL and you hate slash? Cause I'm totally not seeing the whole paragon of sanity and stability and love thing here. And yeah, I hate Maya, but I'm trying to set that aside just long enough to figure out what you see that I don't. It ain't working.
People ship Mo with the people they ship him with because that's what canon gave us. Canon gave us Mohinder and not!Zane's Excellent Adventure; canon gave us Matt and Mo in a house with an adopted kid. Now canon is giving us Mo and Maya (and I for one am going to give them right back). NONE of these people was ever going to be a healthy relationship for Mo. If you want a healthy relationship, go read Peter/Mohinder. Or Bennet/Mohinder. Or Eden/Mohinder, except she was totally lying to him. Let's face it: Heroes shipping? So not about the HEALTHY.

Actually, a lot of his issues are very similar to hers: a potentially lethal power they cannot control, the brother they love dearly, but lose (again and again in Peter's case), the bad guy who uses them for his own ends (for Peter, not only Angela, Linderman, Nathan but also Adam). He also has to cope with his family's involvement with the Company. He caused the death of his girlfriend by proxy, and it his inability to time-travel properly left his other girlfriend stranded in some wiped-out timeline.
Healthy relationship?
Bennet, too. He started out stalking Mohinder and sending spies after him, broke into his apartment to threaten him, and tried shooting Molly. When they were partners, Bennet never treated Mohinder as an equal but only really used him, he pressured him to experiment on Monica, kept information from him, made it clear that he'd easily sacrifice bother Mohinder's and Molly's life if it meant protecting his own family, and was very quick to want to execute Mohinder when he was helpless on the ground.
You have a very odd idea of what constitutes a healthy relationship.

Where does it say MoMaya will be healthy? It says it as just as much chance of being healthy as MattMo, but MattMo shippers are failing to acknowledge this.

And once again, I love how you ignore virtually everything else in the secret and immediately zero in on the one tiny bit that mentions Maya. Your irrational hatred of her used to be kind of disturbing, but now it's just gotten amusing. I'm waiting for someone to post a secret about, say, Peter and Nathan, or some other Heroes characters who have nothing whatsoever to do with Maya, and see how you can twist it around to make it ALL ABOUT MAYA and how utterly awful she supposedly is.
