Re: Anyone happy with their phone data plan?

Literally any plan is better than what you got. Though, if you can get 1-2 more people on a plan, it is cheaper. Check out what is the best coverage in your area.

Also, maybe look at T-mobile and stuff. I think my sister pays $50 a month on T-mobile for unlimited data.

This. I pay for my internet and phone separately and it's still a lot cheaper than what OP is paying, plus I get unlimited calls and texts. Data really isn't that big a deal unless you're doing a ton of streaming of music and movies when you're outside of your home/away from any wireless hotspots. I have a 2 GB per month plan and I can't even remember the last time I hit that despite playing mobile phone games and browsing the internet all the time.

OP here--I take public transit, so I spend minimum three hours a day on buses and trolleys, plus on my days off I go hiking and having all the location options on my phone turned on keeps me from getting too lost. I read a lot of ebooks on the bus, but usually have to stop using data to avoid overuse charges by halfway through the month.
