I work at a bank and regularly get people lying about things to try and get fees refunded. Particularly the ones who say they've never had an overdraft before and I'm just biting my tongue to keep from being like 'sir I can literally see your entire transaction history and we've refunded six overdraft fees for you in the past month and half.' One lady owed multiple late fees on a loan and insisted she'd never been late ever, I actually ended up ordering two years worth of statements and literally showed her all the parts where she hadn't paid at all or had paid late and she kept insisting 'no, I definitely paid it that month!' It was two years ago so good luck disputing that.
