Word of god says he gave them alcohol and was really creepy at them which isn't that much better, and we know he's been convicted of something which is never ever elaborated on. Safe to assume it was fairly bad considering how much guild shenanigans let guild peeps get away with a whole lot of law breaking and they regarded pedophilia as a hiring skill set.

That said he starts a drug regime specifically to curb pedophilic urges and he keeps it up even when it's really, really fucking with him physically and emotionally because he doesn't regard stopping the drug regime an option.
