105. On the Television without Pity boards, "It's okay: they're Italian" was (is? I haven't posted there in a while) the catchphrase to explain their touchy-feely-ness. Although, I'm Italian and no one in my family is that touchy-feely.

111. The Secret of Roan Inish! Yay for Susan Lynch and her beautiful long nose! :)

118. True fact: when I got seriously ill a few weeks ago, I watched MST3K clips on YouTube to distract myself from the pain, and it worked. (Rowsdower.)

123. Is he wearing a Morrissey t-shirt?

160. CADFAEL. My God, now I've seen everything. And I agree. Surely, there is nothing Cadfael hadn't seen (or done?) during his Crusader years, but he's always been true to his vows and thus would not stray with anybody. (BTW, I liked Sean Pertwee's Hugh better. :) )

ok, allora "switcho" in italiano :D

ops °//° sorry, sorry I was quite sure that you means italian from Italy ^^;
...I'm from near Gorizia btw, Friuli-Venezia Giulia ;)

No worries! I visited Gorizia with my father this past December when we went to see his family for Christmas (they live near Pordenone) -- it's a beautiful area, and the castle there is spectacular!

You know, I usually slash Real Damn Hard, vows or no vows (and both of those men are gorgeous-- had the worst crush on Jacobi when I was younger), but if there was ever a pairing for which I'd read a long mystery/friendship case with some platonic h/c, some undertones of never-to-be-resolved sexual tension, a few understanding-but-regretful glances-- that pairing, right there. (Throw in a single kiss that says everything they need to say and is never repeated, and I'd probably swoon.)

Shamefully, I've only seen the adaptations; never been able to wade through the books. Heathen fangirl is heathen.

I really liked the books -- they're full of little period details that don't translate to the screen, as you'd expect -- but the adaptations are pretty faithful to the spirit of the books, so you're not missing a whole lot by sticking to the screen. Though, aaaah, it's been a while since I've read them and can't remember if the screenplays made any major changes to the plots.

And of course, the books don't have the charming Mr. Jacobi. :) He's absolutely adorable as Cadfael.

I still think Jacobi is hot stuff. I have a thing for youthful-looking men with white hair, which is why I'm looking at your icon of Bob and Dresden and drooling. Oh, Bob. ;D

And I'm another Pertwee fangirl. It was so disappointing when they changed him out (twice, of all things). :(
