So? It's not it's different with the PoT when they had _______ Pair or YuGiOh and their ______Shipping. The Reborn fandom chose the numbers to designate characters after the Japanese fandom.

And I don't see what the OP talking about with the English fandom making up numbers when almost all is from the Japanese fandom. The only one I remember is the Shouichi one being made by the English fandom. So if she/he had an issue on how the names are composed, she should take it up with them.

(and funnily enough the only name who uses a English number is Tsuna, which was made from the manga-ka herself).

It's pointless to bitch over when there is a guide for it, hell the OP think the KHR character numbers are somewhat HARDER than the PoT ones, which baffles me. And there is no new numbers made all the time either.

I think it's pointless to bitch over them when there's an explanation guide that tell you everything and that only takes like 5-10 minutes, that's all.

All associated phenomena, up to and including smushed pairing names, deserve to be bitched about. Nobody should have to consult a goddamned guide in order to participate in fandom.

Too bad. Stuff like that is hardly new or anything to fandom. The majority accepts it and have no problem with it, just because a small minority complain about it doesn't really make it a problem for everyone.

You might think it's retarded or deserving to be bitched out, but in the end, it's just your opinion. It's not fandom's fault that a few people refused to learn or don't like fandom terms or whatever. If the fandom's having fun with it, let them. At least there is a short and very easy guide for KHR numbers that shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to remember which character collate with what number. It's not like we assigned a number to every character either.

It's really like making a mountain out of an ant hill, really. You making like the guide is this 1000 page document filled with technological terms and the such. Even if you don't read the guide, you'll pick it up along the way. You like to point out that not knowing Japanese is a valid reason against it when a majority of the fandom don't speak the language either.

But I'm gonna rein in because I don't want spend my night explaining humans and their odd relationship with language.
