105. Sometimes it makes me a little sad that marks of affection such as theirs are so out of the norm in North America. (See also: Winchesters.) I trust that most people who ship Nathan/Peter (or Sam/Dean) do it mainly because they're hot, dysfunctional, etc., and their outright behavior is congruent with a deep emotional investment. And also for the lulz. 'Cause, y'know, it's fandom, not a srs bsns social study - who cares? But I have to admit, reading things like "I don't care what people say, platonic brothers do not look at/touch each other like that" or any variation thereof that directly implies their actions are irrevocably indicative of a sexual relationship, sometimes I wonder if the authors of such statements also see them as valid in the real world, and that sort of baffles me. Tl;dr - I'm sure no one means offense to Italy or its fine citizens and descendants.

116. Give her DVDs? She seems like a good friend, so surely she'll appreciate your wanting to share. Then after she's seen a few episodes, maybe you can tell her. :)

137. You could watch the show and not actively participate in fandom? Idk, that's kind of what I do and it's kept me pretty happy with the show.

142. Whut. That's completely obnoxious, and yet, I fail to be entirely surprised. Heroes fandom: so cringe-worthy, so much of the time. -_-

157. Big Brother, I presume? I used to feel the same way when people I liked (or, indeed, had a big crush on) got booted off similar shows that I watched. Now I just don't get invested in or watch them at all anymore. Much better for my poor, bleeding heart. <\3

this is the point! If you want to slash them.. free! I'm also like them together a little bit. BUT in Italy is not so strange. If you knwo SGA, McKay is a freak because he move a lot his hand. Oh my, so means that 85% of italian are freak?

I simply don't like it like an NOT-excuse. "They are italian" for me... it's right.

Yeah, I think I get what you mean.

"They're Italian" = exactly that: they're Italian, what of it?
"They're Italian" ≠ code for "they're brothers who have sex."

For some reason, that seems to be a concept a lot of people have trouble wrapping their heads around.
