Sport hunting is very important, especially in a place like the United States.

Also, in fairness, hunting is used to help with population control because a lot of apex predators (read: wolves) aren't in large enough numbers to do the job anymore (hunted to near-extinction, loss of habitat).

Massachusetts for a while had low very hunting limits for wild game. Then we had the problem of game animals like deer literally starving to death in the winters. They had to increase limits to maintain the populations of game animals at a healthy level where they could thrive.

Plus, most hunters I know actually eat the animals they kill, which I don't actually have a problem with.

Canned hunts on the other hand...yeeeaaaaaah. That's just absolutely trash right there.

Rossi was duck hunting.

(I live in a country that honestly needs more hunters and hunting for feral animal control, but no, people want to go shoot ducks during a drought, what the fuck.)
