I loved RE, especially the first game. Some of that was the most wonderful fun. Cursed like a sailor when I wasn't screaming like a girl.

10. It's even worse when someone joins with 2 characters, just so she can rp with herself. .___.;; Trust me, I've seen it happen.

[identity profile] song-of-truth.livejournal.com 2007-03-05 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
6. ....I love that game. Unexplainably so. And I think I'm the only one. :\

[identity profile] savant.livejournal.com 2007-03-05 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
That would suck. Luckily my boyfriend and I have an understanding that we're allowed to play video games or be on the computer as much as we'd like to be without being bothered.

I love RE. I can't wait for the new ones. I also love SH, but I hate SH fans. They're all so elitist, but they really have no reason to be. :|

10. HERE HERE.

2. XD; My reaction exactly. If I ever get married, it had better be to a gamer.

5. I feel like I know who this is talking about...

(Anonymous) 2007-03-05 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
who?

[identity profile] fuckyeah.livejournal.com 2007-03-05 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
10. Wait, do you mean to ONLY flirt and fuck ONLY each other? Because if not, I'm not seeing a problem if the characters interact with others as well.

[identity profile] kurachu.livejournal.com 2007-03-05 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
2. If I ever decide to give in and get married, I'm marrying a gamer. And we'll spend nights playing as Zelda and Link on SSBM. IT'S SO ROMANTIC!

6. I refused to touch that. I was like WTFno.

[identity profile] lostremnant.livejournal.com 2007-03-05 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
2. He should have found that out before he married her. Seriously if somebody kept putting computer/video gaming down I would have no interest in him.

5. Especially when they write AUs that have the characters so different from the originals that you wonder why they didn't just write an original story.

9. In the second RE I was walking along a corridor when a zombie suddenly came bursting through the wall which caused me to shriek. I love RE.

I'd rather not name names, just in case, but were they ever a member of Squenix? >>

yes

10. WORD.
Especially when they manage to find a way to fuck up the game's plot just to get their characters fucking.

He did. He gave me a speech about how once I was married, I would understand what it meant to be unselfish and sacrifice things for other people. I basically responded with fuck marriage then, I'll be selfish!

Okay, pretty sure I was right then.

I adore it as well. :] <33333333 I honestly think the music is my favorite OST ever. :D DON'T FEEL ALOOONE. <333

It personally pisses me off how Chrono Trigger fans get so elitist and bash Chrono Cross over the fact it didn't have the CT characters or how the plot was convoluted or whatever. D: I mean, the plot WAS kinda confusing, but... THE GAME WAS GOOD. You have to love it in its own right instead of just in comparison to CT. <3

ANYWAY YAY. XD; ::Shuts up.::
larvayne: pokemon; ho-oh (NOTE: <3)

Heh, you should ask him why he's complaining then about being so unselfish and self sacrificing?

Personally I feel that giving up something you absolutely love doing for the sake of marrying someone is just plain stupid because eventually you're going to resent that person for making you give it up.

#7 and #1 made me smile.

6. I ADORE Chrono Cross. D: I have so many fond memories of it. The battle system was kind of clunky to set up, but really fun to make strategies with and execute, and although you could recruit so many characters, I didn't find it weird at all because you could pick and choose which ones you wanted in your party, and see the character development of the ones who you were particularly interested in rather than the ones . I've replayed it again and again, and it's been wonderful every time. <3

In short, I think way too many people hate it for the sole fact that it followed such a a popular act (Chrono Trigger) and since it strayed so much from its predecessor, they can't come to love it in its own right. The whole thing makes me really makes me sad, especially since it's one of my favorite games ever. :[

Still, it's all a matter of opinion, I guess. XD;

8. WHAT OMG XDDDD LANDAMNED MADE IT TO FANDOMSECRETS. I AM IMPRESSED. 8D I'll address your claim as best I can because wank = no. D: <3

In regards to the actual secret: Days have to take long to make for good RPing. Lemme put it to you this way: You say you want smut to happen, but in order to get to smut, character development is WAY more important than time simply passing by ICly. Therefore: Longer days = more time for character development and character interaction each day = technically getting to the smut more realistically and more quickly than if days went by so quickly that there couldn't be enough character interaction and development to have realistic smut. (Plus, days need to be long for people to be able to RP in general. DX And also for us head mods and NPC mods to keep up with everything. ._.;;;)

Personally, I'm totally okay with smut in RPs so long as people go by the rules and friends-lock and LJ-cut it and everything, but I'm not so sold on the idea of RPing simply for the sake of smut, especially in a big comm as opposed to one-on-one RPing. (Plus, in the first of the Landel's incarnations, overindulgent and ridiculous smut was actually one of the main reasons we left in the first place. DX TURNED ME OFF TO IT FOR A WHILE, but I think I'm good again. :X <3)

I'm curious as to who you are. 8D But yeah, that's the rationale. XD Hope you understand; I hate having unhappy players. D: I WANT TO MAKE EVERYONE JOYOUS.

[identity profile] liltigre.livejournal.com 2007-03-05 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
1. I think everyone's like that to a degree. :3

2. I am so very very glad I share many of the same internet obsessions with my boyfriend. XD And the things we don't share we can compromise on. Compromise is essential to any relationship.

6. Chrono Cross was my first PS1 game, and I'm still fond of it. Especially the music. "People Seized With Life"? Makes me want to cry every time I hear it. I just look at the game as being separate from CT and just paying vague homage or such- makes it easier to understand. (I loved the battle system too. And the HUGE array of characters.)

[identity profile] song-of-truth.livejournal.com 2007-03-05 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
Yay! It's my favorite OST, too!

And I agree about the "loving it in its own right" stuff. I actually played CC first, and have yet to make it through CT because Magus slaughtered me and then I lent it to a friend, so comparing them was never a problem for me. ^^; And all the characters! Sure, there's not much character development if you don't TRY to get it, but otherwise I loved how many different characters there were...

So yes. YAY. :D

[identity profile] staymyadamant.livejournal.com 2007-03-05 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
10. Word. But from my experience? I found it hilarious if the two characters are really, really minor that not even the major characters ICily cared for their existence and they go about their business like it was really normal.

[identity profile] shahrizai.livejournal.com 2007-03-05 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
9. I've found the control scheme is annoying and I always run out of ammo because I'm a run in and shoot everything full of bullets kinda girl, but I love watching people play it! I just wish I hadn't turned into a Leon/Ashley fangirl. :(
