It personally pisses me off how Chrono Trigger fans get so elitist and bash Chrono Cross over the fact it didn't have the CT characters or how the plot was convoluted or whatever. D: I mean, the plot WAS kinda confusing, but... THE GAME WAS GOOD. You have to love it in its own right instead of just in comparison to CT. <3

Yay! It's my favorite OST, too!

And I agree about the "loving it in its own right" stuff. I actually played CC first, and have yet to make it through CT _{because Magus slaughtered me and then I lent it to a friend,} so comparing them was never a problem for me. ^^; And all the characters! Sure, there's not much character development if you don't TRY to get it, but otherwise I loved how many different characters there were...

So yes. YAY. :D

XDDD!!! I played CT a long time after CC, (as an emulator on my computer), and though I've managed to get towards the end of the game, I haven't yet beaten it. XD; And yeah, but you CAN try to get character development, so it's fine if you always just choose to keep the same people in your party during plot stuff, so you basically get them to comment on stuff enough to get endeared to them. (Kaaaaaaarsh 8DD <3333)

And yeah, the soundtrack. 8D SO GOOD. And the game's intro. So pretty. <3

Oh, the intro! I think that's what got me hooked really, really early on. I kept going back to watch the prettiness of the intro and listen to the music...of course I was loving on the game as well, but the intro will always have a special place in my fandom-y heart. XD

OMG, me too! :D I bought one of those Playstation magazines with a promo CD on it for when FFX came out, and one of the things on it was the intro to Chrono Cross, and I must have watched it a thousand times. 8D And then I bought the game. XD AND LOVED IT.
