I KNOW, RIGHT? They call him sanctimonious! Him! I literally cannot comprehend where that label comes from -- he hasn't done anything or behaved in any way worse than any other character on the show. He's a solid, dependable, sweet-natured man devoted to his family and friends. What is not to love?!

I honestly have no idea. This is a fandom where Romo Fucking Lampkin gets more love than Helo. Even Gaeta who when you think about it has done hardly anything. It's bullshit.

It's not like he's perfect or anything, he's gone against orders and been punished way more than Lee or Kara ever have. The biggest punishment was having his daughter taken from him. He just gets the boy scout label because someone has too. I'd rather him be a boy scout than an asshole.

Exactly, exactly.

And I think it's easy to like those characters whose personalities we just get little glimmers of, because then we can fill in the details with all the good things that we like. ....But Helo HAS those good things, aaaand he gets slagged on for it. Oh, fandom.

But I'm so glad to see I'm not alone with the Helo love!
