(Anonymous) 2008-09-04 06:05 am (UTC)(link)i've only just gotten into the comics – more superman than batman, but you get the idea - because i was dragged into seeing begins and the dark knight. the comics make me appreciate it even more, and want to read and learn more... but the fandom does an incredible job of treating me (and other people like me) like idiots just because we came in on the dark knight train.
i say this after bawling my eyes out after reading superman: peace on earth and worry i'm not allowed to be a fan of anything dc comics related because i didn't get into it back when there weren't live action movies.
