The one where I'm back with my ex always sucks, because the me in the dream is always stuck in the part where the relationship still seemed good, but there's always this sense of impending doom because actual me knows how everything eventually turned to shit. It's like being the slutty teenager in an 80s slasher movie and the genre-savvy audience at the same time.

I once had a similar feeling in a dream, although mine was a cliched rom com. In my dream there was this guy I liked but I was too shy to say anything. At some point I introduced him to a friend of mine and he was really nice to her and they started spending time together because they had a common hobby. Rom-com-me was super jealous and angsty, while audience-me was rolling her eyes because I could see that the guy was clearly interested in me and spent most of his time with my friend asking her stuff about me.

It was the weirdest experience ever, because most of my dreams do not have such coherent plots and I was somehow two people at once.
