As though that somehow makes the relationship even more "deep" and "profound". You imply there aren't any other forms of love, or that sexual lust is the be-all end-all, by automatically jumping to "they must be having sex too!!".

Whether they're fucking has no impact on how deep or profound their relationship is. It's incorrect to say that fucking automatically makes their relationship more deep; it's also incorrect to say that fucking makes their relationship less deep.
