Wanting to fuck each other does not mean two people can't also be best friends with a soul-deep respect for each other as artists, athletes, and colleagues

Yes, and two people, particularly a male and female, who are best friends with a soul-deep respect for each other as artists, athletes, and colleagues don't have to be fucking. As though that somehow makes the relationship even more "deep" and "profound". You imply there aren't any other forms of love, or that sexual lust is the be-all end-all, by automatically jumping to "they must be having sex too!!".

Whether they're fucking has no impact on how deep or profound their relationship is. It's incorrect to say that fucking automatically makes their relationship more deep; it's also incorrect to say that fucking makes their relationship less deep.

At no point do I imply any such thing, and at no point do I "jump to 'they must be having sex too!'." You are reading things into my comment that simply aren't there.
