According to Sherrilyn Kenyon's post (the one that mentioned she was being poisoned by her husband) she said that the charges have not been dropped but they'd been settled out of court. I'm not sure what actually happened but CC says that the copyright infringement chargers were dropped but the trademark infringement had been settled.

I don't really know if the charges hold water and it seemed like Sherrilyn Kenyon's worsening state and abuse from her husband might have triggered some paranoia about other writers copying her work (who knows?), but so far what I've seen of CC's side of the case hasn't made me feel any more sympathy for Cassandra Clare.

A friend linked me a twitter thread re: Kenyon's post on her website and seeing Sarah Rees Brennan bringing the whole lawsuit up while people were expressing horror re: this wild story about poisoning and tbh? I thought it was tasteless.

WOW, okay, so the poisoning thing (allegations of) is really *recent*, yeesh. What a fucked up and messed up thing.

And i noticed in the article i read about it, they quoted her *husband*, not her. Lame as fuck.

And CC 'didn't even know her first name'? Really?

The whole thing stinks.
