I find the idea of a magic user trying to undress someone properly but getting so worked up they get impatient and magic the clothes away quite hot personally. But I get it can be quite dull if overused, like a lot of things in fic! Changing it up a little (the none magic user in a pairing insists on no magic for example) is always good.
