It makes me wonder about the people left behind. Let's say you have no friends and aren't close to your family, but still:

You didn't give your employer notice and now they have to scramble to replace you after a period of confusion where they try to figure out what happened and if you're in a coma in a hospital somewhere or something.

If you made any commitments of any kind (bringing cookies to the next meeting, helping your neighbor move that sofa, volunteering every other Saturday) you are leaving people in the lurch.

Eventually, someone reports you missing and your relatives, neighbors, acquaintances, and co-workers might be interviewed by the police and possibly falsely suspected of wrong-doing.

Your relatives have to deal with all of your shit and bills and this year's tax returns and things, and eventually petition to have you declared dead and whatever legal stuff needs to be dealt with.

One-way time travel is a dick move, basically.

OK but with the knowledge that Netflix is bringing Unsolved Mysteries back maybe those you left hanging can make some kind of profit off of it?

I actually read an interesting Gundam Wing fanfic once where this was all addressed. Half the story was with Wufei in his new universe, half was with the rest of the cast in the regular show world, trying to figure it all out, dealing with guilt and grief. It was really good, though unfinished.
