NAYRT I have voiced my preference for short men and it is like waving a red flag. Both men and women will feel the need to fight you over it. Almost like my preference is threatening to theirs for tall men or something? It is weird, but a very real thing.

I have a fairly attractive friend who genuinely prefers guys who are shorter than her.

OTOH, I was talking to some women at work one day and they started basically saying they could never find a short man attractive. There were men around at the time, which made me extra uncomfortable about them talking like that (like, damn that's rude and hurtful). So I mentioned said friend, and these women acted like they couldn't believe it.
