I'm loving it, especially because Ray's in it, too! Really looking forward to Umbrella Academy in February.

Ooh, i like that. I like how they upped the tempo a bit without getting frantic. He sounds good!

There's a relatively dull intro that goes on for 20 seconds too long and somehow fails to establish mood, setting, or tension, followed by a lazy derivative of the Bangles interpretation. There's some added instrumental lines added that are the musical equivalent of unnecessary adverbs. I suppose the vocals are supposed to sound "raw" but thrown on top of the aggressively over-produced vocals it just sounds under-rehearsed. The end result is yet another made-for-cinema cover of an 80s version of a 60s composition groomed for people from 8 to 80.

If Way really wanted to be ballsy, he could have cut the intro in half, included the missing verse (which would have been perfect for the show), and still have a track longer than the original.

Even though it's just a cover, I loved it and actually shrieked when I saw that it featured Ray. Ray's so damn awesome and I love that he's collaborated with Gerard on two songs now. I can't wait for Umbrella Academy and I hope we get to hear more songs from Gerard. Maybe he can collaborate with both Mikey and Ray next time.
