they're not even from the US but from some godforsaken little country

Are you...are you seriously playing the Chauvinist American, here?

Honestly, at this point I'm 50/50 on you being a troll. Or like 15 years old. Care to weigh in?

(Anonymous) 2019-01-27 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay so maybe that was kind of rude, sorry I guess. I wish I were a troll, would make my life easier. Anyway I just meant that it's not fair that never once went to his show and I did (9 times in fact) and I even met him at stage door. He never responds to my compliments on Instagram but drools over her paintings, I just don't think that's fair is all

(Anonymous) 2019-01-27 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
NAYRT, but what exactly is unfair about this person admiring someone's art? And what exactly does it have to do with him responding to (or not) one of probably dozens of random instagram comments?

(Anonymous) 2019-01-27 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
DA, that is perfectly fair. I'm sorry you're feeling unnoticed, but this actor doesn't need to respond to every comment they get on Instagram. This artist is clearly good at what they do and works hard on their art and from your secret they're apparently a nice person, so it's perfectly "fair" that this actor befriended them as a peer. What ISN'T fair is this artist being sent anon hate because you are jealous. Grow up.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-27 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe the fact that you're not actually creating anything? You're just one more rando going "Kyaa~ Celebrity-Sama!!!! Daisuki desu~!!!" on the internet. No1curr.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-27 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Sometimes I think she only paints him because she enjoys his praise and getting a repost

(Anonymous) 2019-01-27 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
1) That's a baseless assumption, and a pretty hilarious one coming from someone who, by their own admission, leaves comments on Instagram posts for that exact same reason.

2) Even if it were her main reason for painting, what does her motivation have to do with her work? Does it change the amount of time or effort the paintings require? Does it change the quality of the finished product?

(Anonymous) 2019-01-27 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, and even if she did: What do you do to deserve the same? Lemme guess: Jack shit. So just for that, she's 100% more deserving of any attention she gets than your petty, jealous self.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-27 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
And this makes her inferior to you, the person sending anon hate to a perfect stranger because OMG how DARE

You're a jerk and a hypocrite and you have no self awareness *slow clap*

(Anonymous) 2019-01-27 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
being a fan really isn't something praiseworthy, i'm baffled you think it is on the same level as art.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-27 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe your behavior is too stalkery and disturbing and he’s deliberately avoiding paying attention to you? Celebrities don’t owe fans any or equal amounts of individual attention and your attacking another fan makes you an asshole.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-27 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
You need to get therapy, OP, and you need to quit being a shallow, selfish brat. This artist is putting time, effort, and talent into their work. It's cool that they are getting recognition for those attributes. What, exactly, are you putting into your life to be recognized? Anon hate mail? Buying tickets to their shows (one amoung thousands of others)? This whining? So impressive.

Yeah, if I was the celebrity, I wouldn't want anything to do with you, either.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-28 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
Well, meeting him at the stage door is probably way easier for you than the artist, if the stage door is in the US....

I don't know what to say to you, anon, except things which you ought to know already (and probably do know). No one owes you any attention, celebrities included. The amount of emotions and money you put in it does not matter, because your payment is the actor's work - the chance of seeing him live - that's what you're paying for. Nothing more.

It's normal to feel jealous that some fan got noticed when you didn't, but it's not normal to care so much that you are sending that fan hate mail. Take a step back. Enjoy your favourite's actor work and focus on that.

Bitter people are rarely rational, and come in all shapes, sizes and ages.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-27 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
NAYRT but even if they're irrational, you'd expect them to be self-aware enough to know that they're doing something wrong and that we're going to yell at them

(Anonymous) 2019-01-27 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
You'd be surprised. I'm pregnant and my neighbor can only think about how I'm no longer paying attention to her and her problems. She's 65.

DA

Yeah, narcissism has no age limit! It's something we like to think that people grow out of (every child is born a narcissist, really) but sadly that's not always the case.

And congrats :)
