Best friend ships

What are good best friend ships? They're my jam but usually not fandom favourites (with some exceptions). Stuff like Harry/Ron in HP or Tony/Rhodey and Bucky/Steve in MCU. Bonus points if they have known each other for a significant portion of their lives.

My favorites are Natasha and Steve (MCU), Stiles and Scott (Teen Wolf), Eiffel and Minkowski (Wolf 359), Donna and Ten (Doctor Who), and Castiel and Sam (SPN).

Natasha and Steve are great as well. Loved them in Winter Soldier, though I've since fallen out of MCU. Never heard of Wolf 359, I'll have to check that out.

But wait, Castiel and Sam? Aren't Castiel and Dean The Thing on SPN?

Castiel/Dean are the major pairing. So Sam is often relegated to the friend role. But they are all great friends.

Wolf 359 is AMAZING. It is also completed so no cliffhangers!

Noctis and Prompto from Final Fantasy XV. They are adorable together, they’ve known each other since they were little kids and became best friends in high school. They just kind of Get each other, and it’s so sweet.

Steed/Peel from The Avengers - TV series, NOT the terrible movie.
Sherlock/Joan from Elementary - currently my favourite best friend ship. The most recent series was absolutely perfect in regards to their friendship.

Johnny&Dutch, Killjoys, he gets asked if a woman he's searching for is "girlfriend, wife, nonsexual life partner" in one episode and the woman is none of those but he says something like "Dutch is the latter actually."
