It's been a while since I've read the book/seen the movie so maybe if I saw/read it again my impression would change but that's really how I felt when I first got to it. Like, "oh how convenient for him."

Yeah, I feel that way, too. I didn't really think about that much at first, but when Gryffindor just *kept winning* it was like....hrmmmmmmmmm....

I really side-eyed Dumbledore from book one on, though, so....
