You have to remember that until that article came out, the allegations against Singer were mainly rumor and one case that was dismissed. The extent to which he was "notorious" depends on what circles the people asked move in. Fox executives had trepidation about Singer's history with drugs and flaking out on work, and when he proved their concerns to be well-founded, he got fired and replaced. This was after pissing off other people on the production and putting them in a position where they had to work around him to get the movie made.

It ceased to be Brian Singer's movie before filming even wrapped. That's why he wasn't on stage - or even mentioned - at the Golden Globes.

He's been accused of preying on young boys since the days of Apt Pupil. He has now had 3 run-ins with facing legal charges. His parties with young boys is a well known """secret""" in Hollywood, one that the likes of Kevin Spacey partake in. There is not one chance these fuckers didn't know about his horrible history.

Stop making excuses for people being out for themselves. He's not on stage or mentioned at the Golden Globes because they know his murky past and recent charges are going to sour their chances at winning. Hence why, when interviewers even dare to ask Rami Malek about Singer, he dances around it. I've no doubt Singer has huge amounts of dirt on fellow Hollywood execs, probably why he keeps getting away with this shit.

DA

I still think Bryan Singer had something to do with Brad Renfro's downward spiral.

I'm fine with yelling at the executives who gave him the job in the first place. Fuck those guys. And I think it's OK yelling at Rami Malek, although I'm a little more iffy with that - I think it's a little more difficult to expect an actor to make an individual stand when no one else in the industry is and the rumors are totally unconfirmed and when the role is a huge career move and probably playing a hero of his and all the rest of it. And I think that's true for a lot of people besides Rami Malek - you can't entirely bury people for their association with shitty fuckers in Hollywood, there's too many shitty fuckers there. Obviously, it would have been better for him not to take the role. But I can have a little understanding of why he would have taken it.

But where I do have a problem is using this as an opportunity to yell at people who are fans of Rami Malek, because I think that's just tremendously unfair.
