I think that's the majority opinion on him, tbh. We're a long way away from the time when WOT was a standard-bearer of the genre.

I don't really agree, personally, but I've accepted that I'm not going to convince anyone to agree with me, and I only defend them because I read them as a kid and/or because a witch cast a spell on me.

It's a bestselling series that Amazon plans to develop into a series. While a lot of people dislike the woek, I don't think it's accurate to suggest we're the majority.

Is it actually being developed? I always heard it was in development hell. Regardless - I don't know if it's still a bestseller, and I think the way that people remember it is generally quite negative. But I guess it's all just anecdotal.
