(I live in germany)
my taxes are rather easy compared to what colleagues and friends have to do and i get a decent return every year (i have a prices tickets for public transport). Getting married alone would entail SO MUCH TAX HASSLE.

ironically, our "official" state sponsored program is an acronym called "Elster" (for ELektronisches STeuer-ERklärung - electronic tax report), which is a word on its own, and it's a magpie.
they were really proud when they got that one approved.
