I adore her and agree with this secret wholeheartedly

Agreed

Idk, she enslaved people who died gruesome gladiatorial deaths. She never had moral comeuppance and I really loathed her for that.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-30 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
Which she was forced to do. Or did you miss the part where the Grandmaster forced everyone to do everything he wanted.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-30 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
Forced to? Yeah right, she didn't seem all that sorry about it. She was perfectly fine with being a slaver. There wasn't a scene at all where she resisted her lot until she decided she wanted to bone Thor.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-30 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
Right, because we saw her whole timeline? We know for certain she never resisted ever and was totally happy? Except no, we don't. And considering she was drinking away her pain, it seems to me it is more logical to conclude she tried to resist before and couldn't and knows what she's doing is terrible and is disguising her feelings at being forced to do horrible things with humor and alcohol.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-30 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, no. Being a slaver and murderer is a big fucking deal, and if I'm not seeing a character being repentant, I'm not just going to assume they feel bad about it off screen and forgive them for it. She drinks because of the incident where the other Valkyrie die, that much is indicated. There's ZERO indication that she feels any remorse for the other shit. I hoped she would get what was coming to her, tbh.

Her intro sold me on her instantly.

I really like what the MCU came up with for her. Not just the character herself, though she was amazing and excellent, but the idea that the Valkyries are/were a military unit/branch/a title rather than one person. I've been leaning toward that idea for a while now, groups of strong people rather than one Special Person, so she was a Delight from start to finish.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-30 03:26 pm (UTC)(link)
WTF? Valkyries have always been more than "one special person". That's not something the MCU thought up.

(Anonymous) 2019-01-30 05:29 pm (UTC)(link)
they mean that in the comics, Valkyrie is one person, not a group. so the MCU departed from that idea to make them a group instead.

There were multiple Valkyries in the comics, including one of the former New Mutants.
