Timothee Chalomet does not in any way look like Paul Atraedes. Oscar Isaac I can totally see as Leto. Chalomet looks too young and not physically fit enough for Paul, which are both things I could see past. But he also doesn't seem like the kind of guy who could convincingly play a messiah figure that everyone wants to follow.

When Dune begins, Paul is supposed to be 15.

As to a messiah figure, maybe you're right, but charisma goes a long way to get people to follow (see every famous cult leader) and most actors have some.
