that's the one I was trying to remember!

but I really don't remember there being a slew of elf/dwarf pals, particularly not in the third age. it is rare, and there's a reason (or, well, a few besides the Nauglamir)

There weren't. As far as I can remember, Celebrimbor and Narvi were the first and Legolas and Gimli were the second. I can't think of any others that were really solid friendships.

Nope. As far as I'm aware, at the time Legolas and Gimli became friends, there were no other dwarf and elf friendships.
