Tanya Huff's Tony Foster books into a series (three seasons). Her The Fire's stone into a mini-series.

C.J. Cherryh's Cyteen into a mini-series (two 8 episodes long seasons).

White Rabbit and Last Seen Leaving by Caleb Roehrig into a mini-series each.

Katherine Addison's The Goblin Emperor into a mini-series

I'll probably get The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater and The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice at some point. There I'm hoping for four season of 6 episodes for the first and for the second to... just not suck and stop after Queen of the Damned.

Basically, give me all the mini-series and shows that don't go over 4 short-ish seasons.

I was so disappointed when the live action Harry Potter movies were announced. I was all "this would work so much better as animation" just because of all the fantastic elements.

But then I prefer animation to live action in general, so.

I’ve already said this and it’s not like there haven’t been a multitude of adaptations already, but I would camp out for the midnight showing of Guillermo del Toro’s take on The Phantom of the Opera. And I remembered recently that there was supposed to be a French version starring Jeremy Irons as Erik, so I’ll just conflate them—unless Doug Jones wants the part instead.

I want to see the Roitelets/Kinglets/Wrens' War against the Valley of Kings. An animated movie would be great.
