I was reading an isekai manga the other day - one of your classic 'I was reborn into a fantasy setting' types - and the main character had a whole sequence where she discovered that soap didn't exist in this world, and then she went and invented soap.
Expect, like... it's a vaguely 17th century sort of setting? You know, plate glass windows and horse-drawn carriages.
The fucking Romans had soap. You expect me to believe these people have managed to invent the printing press but they haven't worked out how to not stink? Bullshit.

I've been reading heaps of isekai on MangaRock lately - here's their isekai page, and there's a good number of filters you can turn on:
https://mangarock.com/genre/mrs-genre-100291868

Personally I usually filter down to the shojo isekai, so it's not all "Ordinary dude goes to another world and all the girls wand his D".

The one I was complaining about is "My transmigration destination was to the White Pig Opposer of a Shoujo Manga" [https://mangarock.com/genre/mrs-genre-100291868]. Fair warning, the translation's rather clunky in places, and the writing is *really* fatphobic. That's actually what made me give up reading.

A few I like...
~ Ascendance of a Bookworm [https://mangarock.com/manga/mrs-serie-19056]: A bookish modern woman dies and is reborn as a peasant's daughter in a vaguely late-medieval society - where there's very few books, and no chance a peasant could get even one!
~ Accomplishments of the Duke’s Daughter [https://mangarock.com/manga/mrs-serie-142781]: The protagonist is incarnated into the body of the villainess of a dating game... right at the end off the game, where she is being denounced for all her wicked deeds! Now the protagonist has to salvage her family's reputation and build a new life in a kingdom that's much more dangerous than it looked in the game...
~ So I'm a Spider, So What? [https://mangarock.com/manga/mrs-serie-143465]: A mysterious accident strikes a classroom full of Japanese students, and they are slain, only to be reborn in a fantastical world! Aaaaand the protagonist is reborn as a giant spider. In a deep cave. It's an odd series, but the main character is a pretty interesting person, and the worldbuilding is fun!
