little girls kidnapped and brainwashed to the point of helping kidnap other girls? Men and boys thinking that utterly fucking over another family and holding some wee girl against her will for all her life/until she breaks and gives in and 'loves' them?

I'm not disagreeing, it's definitely revolting, but I think that part of it is pretty comfortably within CM's wheelhouse as a show.

Oh, it does. And a lot of CMs episodes were very off-putting for a lot of reasons. I haven't watched in quite a few years, it just became too gross and overwhelming.

Totally. It's definitely shock-exploitation type of stuff and it's one of the worst parts of the show IMO.
