OP doesn't say she doesn't like kids, though. She at most suggests she's neutral on kids, as a general group. OP also doesn't say she has this fantasy kid you describe in mind. OP acknowledges that she has a fantasy of having a solid, positive relationship with her child, but nowhere does OP suggest she believes her child will be some kind of perfect angel. Nor does OP suggest that she requires that kind of perfection from her child in order to forge a positive relationship with them.

It just seems pretty condescending to assume that a woman in her late thirties believes children are a breeze. She's obviously not an idiot; I think you can safely assume she knows children are not a breeze.
