Long-term bonds that are forged through a lot of experiences and are unbreakable. I have a lot of different ships, but that's one thing that almost all of them have in common: friendships or just long-term relationships in some way that develop into love. Characters who just know each other.

I'm generally not into instant-love or characters who start dating without being friends first.

The longer or stronger the bond is, the more likely I am to ship.

I also notice that many of my favorite ships have one person who's a little more reserved, perhaps occasionally a bit fussy, and the other's more outgoing and a bit more laid-back. I like it when my ships' personalities balance each other out.

hm i have a few but this one's the rarest:

'alpha male' that gets run around and manipulated by a little shit who purposely exploits his need to feel alpha to pull him around. like not seduction and cajoling, more like challenges to his masculinity e.g. 'lul ur a wuss if you dont X' or 'i can do Y better than u can'

+ bonus points if the 'alpha male' KNOWS it's happening but can't resist the goading anyway because FUCK THAT GUY, HE'LL SHOW HIM fuck he just did exactly what they wanted him to do again

Best friends who are just the biggest idiots together, falling slowly in love and both panicking about it because they're both convinced the other couldn't possibly reciprocate, haha. And once they do get together, now they're just idiots in love who are still best friends.

Though jerkface guy cannot be too jerky. I lean more towards aloof/emotionally not great over 'hi, I'm a jackass fullstop'.

I generally have two main ones: people who are each other's safe space, and people who challenge and needle and aggravate each other until the cows come home but who would also die for each other in a heartbeat. They are often, but not always, mutually exclusive.

I also just have a general thing for mutual loyalty/protectiveness. I do generally like both parties to be about the same power level in the relationship, if by variant means.

Physically speaking, I like burly women with smaller men, and a general small-and-angry combined with tall-and-laconic aesthetic.

Gosh, I'm not sure what my super-fave dynamics are tbh. Honestly so long as it's done in a way that works for me I can ship almost any dynamic and fall in love with it.

I do have a soft spot for friends to lovers, age-gaps, and immortal/mortal pairs and generally I like my ships to be equals in some way(skill level, power, competence: even if it's at different things). And mainly if I'm shipping happy, I need there to be mutual respect and admiration.

Two people who've never felt normal and who are damaged and weird, but who still try their hardest, and slowly realize that they can trust and rely on each other and feel safe together.
