I'm super 'meh' on this version because to me Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth were just perfect, and as Jane Austen fan (not purist, I love me some Pride & Prejudice & Zombies), because I love her dialogue and her storytelling, I prefer the version that is faithful to the book. I can see why people like the newer version, but it just leaves too much out for me (as well as finding all the actors in the BBC version just perfect for their roles).

Same here. (Jennifer Ehle is my favorite Elizabeth.) All the movie adaptations, including the 2005 one, feel like they move along at a breakneck pace because there was so much to get through in two hours.

(I love P&P&Z. "Indifferent?! SHE'S!! SHY!!")

Yeah, to me some things are just not meant to be crammed into 90 minutes, and P&P (to me) is one of them.

God I love that fight, it's so hottttt.
