The fake baby stuff was surreal and yet hilarious.

I never understood the fake baby thing

Do one of them have a baby with someone and everyone was sure it was fake? Or did they come up with a theory that they adopted a baby in secret

Okay, here's how I understand it:
Liam Payne, one of the blokes from 1D, had a kid with his girlfriend in "17. But because there is a small but persistent group who are utterly convinced, down to their bones, that Liam luvs Harry 4eva, they formulated the theory that said child is not his son. Not in the "his beard is cheating on him, the skank" way, but "the evil music execs have hired a child to play the role of his child". For some time now, they've been declaring that *any day now* the whole masquerade will fall apart - because *obviously* the kid's not his, because *obviously* he and Harry will defy their evil overlords and declare their love for the world to see, etc, etc.

I think there was a bit of "There's no baby the whole thing's fake" for a while, but the kid's been around for long enough that even the most delusional tinhatter can't pretend he's a dummy in a stroller.

Wasn't it One Direction fandom that also had the girlfriend who was triplets?
