And yet, everyone gets judged for loving them at the same time. Her freaking husband gets judged for loving her and for god knows what because from what I saw, he's the one who was treated like crap and did nothing wrong at all.

Is this something that the books do? I never felt that the TV series judged Frank for still loving Claire. If anything, it was to his credit that he was so faithful to her. And when he did finally start seeing someone else, I think the narrative was fairly clear that it was Claire's anger and hurt that weren't fair.

I don't think Frank's life was fair, and I don't think Claire was fair to him (though she did try), but I always found the narrative very fair to him.
