So is the issue that INTERNET MOB JUSTICE IS WRONG!!!! or is the issue that the evidence in this specific instance is not compelling enough

They are literally connected. The problem with internet justice is that they can misconstrue "evidence" resulting in ruined lives.

This would be a lot more compelling of an argument if it weren't for the fact that people make the exact same arguments about MOB JUSTICE being bad in defense of Louis CK, who literally confessed

Holy shit. You'd be that person in the photo of the Shipp/Smith lynching photo who is grinning and laughing.

Lynching someone is okay because sometimes the person getting lynched was guilty.

And you're the person who's comparing getting yelled at on the internet to fucking lynching

"Yelling". Tell that to people who have had their lives ruined from harassment on the internet.

Your lack of empathy disgusts me.

Losing your livelihood and having your reputation destroyed isn't just getting yelled on the internet.

It's also... not lynching.

I mean, yes, I would prefer everyone was reasonable and careful, and yes, some people take things too far. But I don't know what alternative you want from people or what you're really proposing. I don't think not caring or mentioning it when people do incredibly shitty and heinous things is a desirable or practical solution. And I think there are cases where, like, yelling about things to publicize problems and force a change is a useful and prudent thing to do.

He can work retail. There are other jobs. When other professionals are corroborating this shit, which could tank their own careers, there's something there, dude.
