I love writing OCs - very few characters exist in a vacuum, and OCs just make sense.

Ages and ages ago there was Desidario, who was Oz's OC boyfriend in a very long AU Spike/Xander fic I wrote. It was a lot of fun, researching him and his family, figuring out where he was from and etc.

I think the RPF stuff i write counts as OC, as well, because frankly - what little i know about actors is generally not stuff i care to put into a fic. So the gorgeous Jason Behr (who hasn't acted in a while, and is married and has a kid, i think?) is my delightfully amoral and hair-trigger 'Jason' who is a serial killer and a drug addict and a bare-knuckles underground fighter, as need be.

I've got OCs in my head. Never written them. But I always fantasize about being a part of my favorite fandoms. Being a hero, saving the day, being tortured by the villains but then coming out of it and kicking their asses. And I'm always the best, the smartest, the most powerful in my fantasies. Sometimes I'll pair myself with a character I'm attracted to, sometimes not.

it would take too long to list all of them, most of my fics have at least one, even if it's only a name that comes up in a canon character's conversation.

All of my OCs seem to fall under two character types: the loner and the atoner.

I have so many OCs! And when I find a new fandom, I just sort of plug in whatever OC works best and go from there, lol.
Most of my OCs I made in highschool, but I've been developing them since and they're barely recognisable as the same people anymore.
Let's see... A few of my favourite OCs...

Xyrena! I made Xyrena for a friend's group Kingdom Hearts roleplay, hence the X. She generally goes by Ren. She's really interested in philosophy, and understanding the nature of the soul, the heart, emotions, and all that good shit - because she's a Nobody, but she's not super keen on ending worlds to regain her heart. She's claustrophobic, and when I insert her into fandoms based in our world, she's Singaporean Chinese!

Renart! Renart is a fox! More specifically, she is The Fox, the First Fox, Mother of Foxes, the actual literal mother goddess of foxes. She's 35, 36 million years old; she's seen it all, done it all (sometimes twice), and she's just a pretty chill lady unless you fuck with someone she likes, in which case she'll eat your face right off your skull. :D

Quin! Quin is a nice young man, and he will be nice and polite and charming to you right up until he needs to kill you, at which point he will kill you and think no more about it. He has a sort of "greatest good for the greatest number" philosophy, but he does believe that being a dick is *not* a necessary part of that; and that one should generally avoid killing people or making enemies, as both are hard to undo.

All some variation of guys who are confused about their sexuality and end up falling in love with other guys, some who are also confused about their sexuality, and some who are not, and eventually they live happily ever after.
