. . . When I saw on Tumblr that the dragons leave in the end, I thought it was some kind of dark joke. I didn’t think that was the actual ending.

Personally, I thought the way they did it made sense. It worked for me. But it was definitely sad, and part of me wishes they'd made different choices.

It's how the book series ends too, but in the bookverse, dragons have been slaves to viling for 300 years instead of being at war for 300 years and friends for 6 years.
To me it sort of made sense but was too rushed.
