James/sirius is just *in your face* in the books, I don't understand how anyone could NOT see it...
But...it's an incredibly tragic ship. with like ZERO possibility of a happy ending without huge AU stuff that also, haha, completely alters Harry's character as well.
I ship another tragic ship (Niteowl/Rorschach from Watchmen) and it's tough going. And they don't even have kids. Most of the fic (and there's not a lot) is set way PRE-Watchmen when they were working together
