Yeah, that's really not what they're saying at all.

I do think OP is misusing the term "fandom gatekeeper," so if someone were too lazy to read the whole secret, or to bad at reading to parse the actual meaning of the secret, then "stop enjoying things differently to me and read/watch all the material, CASUALS!!!!!" might be how they knee-jerk interpreted the secret. But it's not what OP said.

It's tricky, because, like, I do think the opinion would be gatekeeper-y if it was in almost any other context. But if it's specifically complaining about people coming into fic and making comments, it's hard to call it gate-keeping.
