Unexpected reactions to media?

I'm in the middle of watching a wedding episode of a show, and even though I have no interest in romance or getting married, and it's not even a pairing I care about, I'm getting all emotional for some reason.

Anyone else have unexpected emotional reactions to a show/movie?

No spoilers, but I absolutely hated the most recent season finale of The Good Place. It was weird because I'd been into the season as a whole up to that point, but the finale was just a hard NOPE for me (half because I'd just been through a breakup and half because I hate the plot twist they had to use... again).
