I have never found that, disgruntled anon; certainly clarity of posts is prized, and the beta list is always being pimped out for the shiny, useful thing that it is, but my experience of TGS has always been that it's a classy, welcoming, wickedly hilarious and contented place. One of the best fandoms I've ever been in.

I don't think it's a crime to want a piece of writing to be written in clear enough English to actually be read without causing a migraine.

Having been there for over a year, I have never felt that the group are snobs in any way - it's the most welcoming fandom I've ever joined.
