I don't know anything about Final Fantasy, but I really, really hate condensed timelines in things, so I agree with you on principle.

To this day I refuse to accept that S1 of Sherlock took place over the span of 2 months. It's not even super unreasonable that all that stuff could've happened in 2 months, it definitely could've. I just think it's stupid. Give the story some time to settle, writers, damn.

The most egregious one, for me, is when The 100 tells us that the first 2.5 seasons happened in 6 months, yet the sheer amount of stuff that happens in the first 2.5 seasons makes that completely ridiculous.

And TBH if there's ever a fandom where it's totally valid to complain about timeliness not adding up, it's any fandom derived from Sherlock Holmes
