NAYRT—I’m an anxious hoarder so I find her kind of threatening, but that’s ‘cause I’ve got a fucked up relationship with stuff. It’s absolutely my problem and there’s nothing wrong with her.

It’s not like she’s forcing her way into people’s houses and using their wedding albums as kindling to burn their most prize posessions or something. If I was gonna get mad at self-help posession-purge people, it would be the $3,000 all white organic cashmere capsule wardrobe, “I got rid of all my kids’ toys and now they know better than to ask me for anything or ever disobey, and our house looks like a home decorator magazine” minimalists.

I'm an anxious hoarder too but I find Marie Kondo very soothing and gentle. Her book is very gentle in its approach.
