Yup, this. I mean, most of us don't have a degree in whatever fandom we're following, but if it's something we're interested in, we'll notice the inconsistency. Same goes for people who are interested in specific historical periods. It's pretty easy to notice glaring inaccuracies.

If you don't care about historical inaccuracies, that's fine. I'm not quite sure why so many people feel that it's tying into "and you think you're so superior for noticing that". No, I noticed it because it's just something that irks me.
